When the inner egg fillings were still a wee bit watery and bouncy. Personally preferred TK Bakery more (with ginger fragrance and flaky tart shells to elevate the delicacy)"

One of the highlights here is definitely their pastries. The egg tarts are a crowd favorite, with a flaky crust and smooth custard filling that hits the spot. The roasted pork bun and roasted chicken floss bun are equally popular—soft, fragrant, and packed with flavor, making them easy recommendations for first-timers. They do serve dim sum as well, though I found it to be just average compared to the rest of their offerings. However, the char kuey teow truly stands out. It’s incredibly delicious, packed with wok hei, and comes at a very reasonable price. In fact, I’d say it tastes even better than some versions I’ve had in Penang—mainly because of its rich flavor and satisfying portion size. The chee cheong fun is decent and worth trying, though it doesn’t quite steal the spotlight. As for their famous white coffee, it was a bit underwhelming in terms of flavor, but it definitely delivers a solid caffeine kick to get you going. Overall, Nam Heong Coffee Shop offers a wonderful, authentic coffee shop experience with a mix of standout dishes and classic favorites. Despite a few minor hits and misses, it’s still a place I’d happily return to."

The coffee is fantastic – fragrant and perfectly brewed, just how I like it. The dim sum was also really tasty! We had the siew mai, lo mai gai (glutinous rice), egg tarts, and some pastries. Everything was fresh, steaming hot, and the flavors were spot on. The siew mai was juicy, and the egg tarts had that perfect crispy skin with smooth custard. Great service, comfortable place, and definitely value for money. Highly recommended if you're looking for good coffee and delicious dim sum!"
